  • Stock photo: Pensacola, FL, USA...Perdido Bay. I almost left yesterday, because when I arived at this location it looked as if a tornado was about to drop down from the sky! I hung around anyways. It was so dark and then suddenly to clouds parted a bit, enough to allow me this shot. Storm was clearing off to my left. TIFF available through email, JenEricRalston @cs.com . Similar shots with landscape orientation also available.

  • Stock photo: Romans 1:20 "From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his eternal power and divine nature." A bit of a twist to this composition since I was struck by the fact in all this rushing water the bottom can clearly be seen here. A bonus was the lone leaf hanging on above the rushing water not ready to let go and meet its fate. How often do we seek clarity in our lives and faith. How often do we fail to let go and trust in God!

  • Stock photo: Some 27 years ago at the rim of the Grand Canyon I discovered that what appears to be a single stroke from sky to ground is actually a multiple of repeated strokes over a lowered resistance path from the initial ionization of air molecules by the first stroke. The attached is a 1 second hand held shot; as I was not sufficiently stable to really hold a 1 s exposure with no movement, each stroke left a fresh and distinct image on the film.   • Stock photo: Since we are beset with range and forest fires out here. I pulled this slide from the archives. It was taken in my early years at the top of Chinook Pass of Mt. Rainier on a smokey day when the fires turned the sky orange and I helped it along with an orange filter and underexposure of 2 stops.
